The Vanishing Finances

Social Media Blog images 2.2018 300x300Most of us work very hard to manage our finances. We have created plans and tried various budgeting programs, which usually go against our lifestyle. And many people will say we need to change our lifestyle. When should we change? We need to change if our lives are out of alignment with God. Once we determine the life we are leading is in alignment with God, he will give us a money plan to stop the vanishing finances.

As I was studying one of my favorite Bible Chapters, the Holy Spirit prompted me to read study this verse:New American Standard Bible Malachi 3:11 NASB
"Then I will rebuke the devourer for you so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes," says the LORD of hosts.

The devour is anything that consumes all until it is dry, dead, and desolate. Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly. Who or what is the devourer?

I saw him in a dream, and a fellow sister in Christ knew immediately who it was when I told her about the dream. This revelation brought clarity to a common false belief. We believe in today's world we are to put up with anything that just sucks the life out of us.

John 16:33 New King James Version (NKJV)
33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will[a] have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

It's incredible the number of people that look at me like poor thing when I am telling them of the things we have endured for the LORD. And what we endured is nothing like what most people experience. I gave up my life so I could follow Christ. All though it's hard, I would do it over again.
Although we will experience trials, we handle it differently than the world. We count it joy because it is in our weaknesses that Jesus is made strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-11 New King James Version (NKJV) 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

The troubles we have are for a season. It is not meant to be a lifetime of suffering. Trials perfect us for heaven. We complete one storm there will be rest, and then another storm will come. I have learned it strengthens me in the LORD as well as others if we let God work on us. The devour attacks during storms because that's when we are weak.

Usually, we have given the devour a foothold, or illegal attacks are present. Sin opens the doors to let them in to destroy. Illegal attacks are attacks that happen although we are obedient. Either way, we can ask God for protection and redemption for both. Once we confess our sins, turn from our sins and are forgiven, the dark forces can no longer attack. We become obedient and begin living according to Godly standards.

We go to God in prayer and ask for help and guidance. We include God in our lives. We allow him to lead our lives and we submit to his loving standards of living. I have found peace by allowing Yeshua to transform my heart.

The thief cometh not but to steal and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
